The swirl of random events is represented in porcelain by Carol Koffel's recent body of work. Uncertainty was embraced as slabs of clay, sliced without regard to order, transform in the final pieces to undulating sensuous surfaces. Inviting the viewer to examine intervals and vignettes. A dance where influences are exerted or information flows. Witnessed and understood only with the passage of time. |
