Hand-built using Laguna's WC-379 B-Mix Clay. This piece received the "BEST SCULPTURE," award at the 2009 AMOCA-ACS, DIVERSITY IN CLAY EXHIBIT, The American Museum of Ceramic Arts.

This hand-built sculptured lamp base is made with Laguna's WC-886 B-Mix with Grog Paper Clay, fired to Cone 10 reduction. The piece was finished with black stain brushed in crevices, water washed iron, and rutile stain throughout and Winokur Yellow glaze on bark surfaces.
